According to our Constitution, the United States DOES NOT have a state sponsored or recoginized religion (i.e. Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc.). It just happens that the majority of the people in our country are Christian.
And the President has never said we aren't a Christian country. He has said we should be ruled by our Constitution and honor all faiths.
